This Privacy Policy explains how Authoriia ("we", "us", "our"), the company operating bookset.co ("bookset", the "Service"), collects, uses, and protects personal data. We are the data controller for personal data processed through the Service.

When you join the waitlist or contact us, we collect:

• Your name and email address
• The role you described and your planned publishing timeline
• Any other information you choose to send us

We do not currently use third-party analytics or tracking cookies. The site uses only the essential cookies/storage needed for the Service to function.

2. How we use your data

• To manage the bookset waitlist and notify you when the product is available
• To respond to your messages and provide support
• To improve the Service and our communications
• To comply with legal obligations

3. Legal basis (GDPR / UK GDPR)

For visitors in the EEA and UK, we process personal data on the following bases: your consent (when you submit the waitlist form), our legitimate interest in operating and improving the Service, and legal obligationwhere applicable.

4. Service providers

We share personal data only with vendors that help us operate bookset, including:

• Hosting and database infrastructure (Lovable Cloud / Supabase)
• Email delivery (Resend) for transactional and waitlist emails

These providers process data on our behalf under appropriate contractual safeguards. Some processing may occur outside Canada, the EEA, or the UK; where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent transfer mechanisms.

5. Retention

We keep waitlist data until you ask us to delete it or for as long as needed to operate the Service. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time via the link in any email we send.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including GDPR, UK GDPR, and Canadian PIPEDA), you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (for example the ICO in the UK, your national DPA in the EU, or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada).

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted transport (HTTPS) and access controls on our database. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8. Children

bookset is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

9. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above and, where appropriate, notifying you by email.
